Using Keyek Card Keypad
For optimal use of your Keyek Card, avoid pressing hard on the keypad. Simply place your finger lightly on the desired character and hold until you hear a beep.
The Keyek Card uses a capacitive keypad, meaning pressing hard on the keys won’t affect functionality. Aim to align your finger directly over the character you wish to input, and avoid touching multiple keys at once. A slight delay between pressing a key and the VC responding is normal, as capacitive keypads differ from mechanical ones. You won’t feel any tactile feedback, but the system provides feedback through an audible tone and a visual change on the display when a valid input is registered. For example, this might include a menu update or a “*” appearing when entering your PIN.
Capacitive keypads work by detecting changes in the electrical signal caused by the proximity of your finger. With no moving parts, these keypads are sealed for enhanced durability and security.
