The VeroGuard Admin Portal
Overview
The VeroGuard Admin Portal is a web-based user interface designed to give an Administrator all the tools they need to manage VeroCard user functions on the VeroGuard Platform for protecting online identities. This document has been designed to provide an overview of the Admin Portal and provide information on the general concept of using VeroGuard and VeroCards for protecting online identities.
Admin Functions
This guide outlines the administrative functions available in the portal, focusing on user management and VeroCard operations. The portal provides capabilities to Manage Users, Resources, and VeroCards, from onboarding to removal. Below is a breakdown of key functions and the two main areas of the Admin Portal.
Admin Functions Overview
Administrators have full control over user accounts, including:
Creating and editing user accounts: Onboard new users, update their account information, or edit their roles and permissions.
Managing VeroCards: Assign, replace, or reset PINs for VeroCards associated with user accounts.
Blocking and unblocking users: Temporarily suspend or restore access to users when needed.
Managing Resources, VeroCards, and Applications:
Resources: Add, remove, or modify the resources users can access.
VeroCards: Assign or manage VeroCards for each user.
Applications: Assign applications to users or modify existing application access.
VeroCard Management: Administrators can also perform specific tasks related to VeroCards:
Replace Cards: Issue replacement cards in case of loss or damage.
Duplicate Cards: Duplicate VeroCards when necessary.
Reset PINs: Reset VeroCard PINs when requested by users.
Portal Views
The Admin Portal is divided into two main sections for ease of use:
The User View: This section allows administrators to manage all activities related to user accounts. Key tasks include creating new users, managing their resources, assigning VeroCards, and updating their access to applications.
The Cards View: This section focuses on VeroCard-related operations. Administrators can assign, replace, duplicate, block, unblock, and reset PINs for VeroCards, ensuring smooth access control for users.
Access
Access to the Administration Portal is granted exclusively via VeroCard. As a security measure, there is no self-service registration option. An existing administrator must manually allocate access to any new Users.
