What is a VeroCard?
VeroCard is a secure multipurpose identity terminal, purpose built to protect and verify digital identity online. VeroCard (in concert with the VeroGuard Platform) provides User Verification with every authentication request, via a ‘back-to-base’ PIN validation process, harnessing the same technology used by banks to verify and secure ATM and EFTPOS transactions, repurposed as an identity layer for the internet.
VeroCard can be used for authenticating users across devices, applications, and physical access points, while also consolidating multiple disparate identities into a single VeroID. Users can easily access systems with minimal friction by entering a PIN on their VeroCard, enabling a passwordless, phish-resistant experience for Next-Generation Multi-Factor Authentication.
Once your IT administrator has configured your PC and your account for VeroGuard login, your login process will shift from entering a password on your device's keyboard to entering a PIN on your VeroCard. This eliminates passwords from the authentication process, ensuring that access is only granted with the correct combination of your VeroCard and secret PIN.
Before you can do this, you must Activate your VeroCard.
What is Activation?
Activation is the process used to link your VeroCard to your VeroID and PIN. During this process, the VeroCard connects to the VeroGuard Platform to validate its configuration and permissions before prompting you to Set your PIN.
